The Bible tells us that Jacob loved Joseph from all of his sons, and he made for him a coat of many colors. What does a coat of many colors symbolize, after all, the Bible always speaks about abstract concepts and not just
about physical matters?

But before we answer this question lets look at the opposite direction of the term, ‘coat of many colors.’ A different course of the word, ‘coat of many colors’ will be a coat of one color, or uniform.

In English, the term ‘uniform’ means one form, which means that people who wear the uniform will care only for their interest. While symbolically, people who wear a coat of many colors like Joseph consider the common good.
