The Timeless Pencil, Ink And Paper

Hello, dear friends!

It was in the year 1985 that an ancient Greek ship was found off the Israeli shores. It sank there, along the northern coast of Israel, in a spot known today as Ma’agan Michael—Michael’s Anchorage. Among its preserved cargo, it held a slate tablet used for writing.

The human need to write and to communicate has never vanished, and today it is stronger than ever. We need that physical connection: to the board, to the page, to notebooks and books. That is where the real magic happens. Please don’t give up on the joy when the pencil meets the page—when you suddenly draw, sketch, or doodle. Don’t lose that joy of innocence; it exists right there on the paper.

So often, we open a web browser out of habit or boredom, or because we’ve been conditioned to believe that everything we need, desire, or dream of lives on a screen. Yet we’re left feeling empty when that backlight fails to deliver what we truly yearn for. What we crave comes from the infinite, the unknown, and the hidden. That is what brings true happiness: the surprise, the suddenness, and the immediate connection that has always been right there.

Don’t give up on it. Pick up a paper notebook that you love, and just write—it doesn’t matter what. Feel that joy, that spring of happiness, and let it flow.
