What is so special about symbols that any person from every cultural background can immediately understand, regardless of his/her natural language skills? What is the secret of the symbols and why do they work so fast, bypassing our tendencies to read and guess and second guess everything?

Let’s look into the Hebrew letters:

The Hebrew word for symbol is Semel. The word Semel is written in three letters. Samech-Mem-Lamed סמל” 60-40-30″, and has the numeral value of 130.

The number 130 is an interesting junction for the following reasons: The word for love in Hebrew is Ahava אהבה and has the value of 13. Also, the word for one in Hebrew, Echad “אחד” has a value of 13. So the number 130 stands for 10 times love in Hebrew, or ten times one in Hebrew. Namely, the number 130 reflects the ability to power through and cross the material boundaries beyond space-time and language.

In other words, a symbol in Hebrew, Semel סמל is an immediate connector to the one. For example, whenever we a symbol of a dove, we think about peace and tranquil. Or whenever we see a symbol of an eagle we think about the king of all flying, the one which can spread its wings and mercy every one, give its custody and protection, the one who can grant a shelter and refuge; patronage, and approval, like we find in Deuteronomy 32:11 “As an eagle stirs up its nest, Hovers over its young, Spreading out its wings, taking them up, Carrying them on its wings.”
